To predict JWL(Jones-Wilkins-Lee) equation of state(EOS) parameters,a KHT Code has been programmed according to the KHT(Kihara-Hikita-Tanaka) EOS of detonation production.The detonation parameters of RDX-based aluminized explosives calculated by KHT code have a good consistency with the experimental values,which proves the credibility of the KHT code.On this basis,the calculated isentropic expansion data of the detonation production using KHT code were used to predict the JWL EOS parameters for RDX-based aluminized explosives.The numerical test by employing AUTODYN software with the predicted JWL EOS parameters as input data was carried out to simulate the explosion of 1 kg RDX-based aluminized explosives under water 4.7 m.It was found that the shock wave peak pressures of numerical calculation were very similar to the experimental results.The results indicate that the proposed prediction method using KHT Code is reliable and available.
