A stereoscopic display system based on a volumetric image model

Stereoscopic display technology uses two-dimensional device to show three-dimensional (3D) scene with great significance. After fully studied 3D stereoscopic display technology which is widely used currently, the generation approach of stereo pairs is presented. 3D Delaunay triangulation method is adopted to perform triangulation operation on volumetric image model before applying dynamic display method is applied to achieve better display effect. Furthermore, 3D display of the volumetric model is realized by using Direct3D rendering technique to make the observer watch better 3D effect by wearing glasses. Research results have good future in displaying new products for web application.
