3D-Printed Multi-Material Multilayer Wideband Microwave Absorber

3D printing has shown recently a growing interest in microwave applications due to its flexibility to manufacture complex structures with different materials. In this study, a multi-material multilayer wideband microwave absorber has been optimized to reach -15 dB in X-Ku frequency bands with a thickness of 3.9 mm, and achieved -15 dB between 6.7 GHz and 16.2 GHz after 3D printing, highlighting the potential of printing thin multi-material wideband absorbers.
