Is Entertainment Services of a Healthcare Service Robot for Older People Useful to Young People?

Healthcare robot systems may be an important solution for the social problems arising in our aging society. In our previous research, we have designed healthcare robot systems and services for older people, and found that robots can be accepted by and useful to older people, to help care for their health. We developed brain training games for older people, which they liked. Also we analyzed which music videos older people prefer. However in general such healthcare robots could potentially benefit other age groups where people suffer some health conditions that require cognitive assistance. In the paper we address the question of whether healthcare service robot systems designed for older people are accepted by young people as well. Young people use our healthcare robot systems and we analyze their feedback about the robot and its services.
