Research on Torque Boost Method Based on Stator Voltage Vector Oriented Control

The low-speed performance of V/F controlled induction motor drive system is significantly impaired by the decline of the output torque induced by the stator voltage drop.Based on analysis of the existing methods,a novel automatic torque compensation strategy was proposed. The stator current can be decoupled by the rotation coordinate transformation based on stator voltage vector oriented control, and then the stator voltage drop compensation component can be achieved easily. This method was easily implemented Since only stator resistance is needed. The experimental results using the proposed method show that the rotor speed can be controlled down to 1 Hz with full load, and the starting performance is improved greatly. The experiments verified the torque boost method work well.
