Dynamical risk assessment of electricity generation increasing in nuclear power plants

Event characteristics of nuclear power plants have been quantified in the aspect of feedback and accumulation for the sustainability of energy. The complex and difficult manipulations of the power uprate in nuclear power plants for electricity generation increasing are modelled using the system dynamics method, which is processed by the feedback and accumulation algorithms. Safety as well as economic importance is the key point of the study. A newly introduced plausible value is used in order to quantify the basic event of the scenario. Two kinds of considerations, i.e. neutronics and thermohydraulics properties, are organised. Therefore, the result can improve the stability of the operations after the power has been decided upon. The maximum value of risk is 140·5 in 2070 and the minimum value is 1·0 in 2010. Therefore, the risk of the power uprate increases 140·5 times higher than the initial value in this study.
