GROUND TRUTH : INTEGRATION OF WEATHER INFORMATION IN ITS DEPLOYMENT

This article gives an overview of road weather information systems (RWIS). It briefly describes the various components of RWIS and their effectiveness in creating safer driving conditions, especially in areas with inclement weather patterns.
