Method for prohibiting use of function in multi functional mobile communication terminal equipment

PURPOSE: A method for restricting usage of a multifunctional mobile communication terminal is provided to enable a public/private communication service device to decide whether a private network mobile communication service is supported while registering a multifunctional mobile communication terminal, or to confirm whether an additional function is usable, thereby restricting the additional function of the terminal. CONSTITUTION: When a camera phone(120) enters a public/private cell area, a system parameter message is received from a public/private communication service device(140)(101). The camera phone(120) transmits a location registration request message to the public/private communication service device(140)(103). The public/private communication service device(140) confirms whether a terminal is restricted to an additional function(105). If so, the public/private communication service device(140) transmits a location registration response message including an additional function restricting code(107). The camera phone(120) detects the function restricting code, and sets a data storage restricting mode(109).
