In the desalination system, the flow characteristics of the falling film is very important issue to make highly efficient system. So, This study aims to investigate numerically the laminar flow in falling liquid film on horizontal cylinder. Numerical simulations are performed using a CFD code(Fluent6.3.26) for 2D configurations with one. An implicit finite difference method is carried out to solve the governing boundary layer equations. spacing. The flow modes and film thickness are reported for the Reynolds numbers range of 100 and 1000. The numerical results have been compared with the experimental correlation. The effect of cylinder separation on the film flow is investigated.
