Algorithm and Realization of a Fast Frequency Estimation Based on DFT

Some normal frequency estimation methods are introduced.A fast Estimation method,based on DFT,is raised.The theoretical analysis,performance analysis and simulation results are also given,Bringing out the best relation between the counts of samples and the counts of frequency segments.The results of applying it on FPGA prove that the method is easy and feasible.It has very little quantity of operations,high operation speed and strong capability of anti-noise. It can highly improve frequency estimation speed and precision of digital receivers.It will be helpful to the design of frequency estimation devices of digital receivers on both respects of theory and practice.
