Novel passive soft switching schemes for high power single phase PFC rectifiers

Two novel passive soft switching schemes are presented in this paper for the two-lower-switch boost type single-phase PFC rectifier. Neither additional active means nor any lossy components are employed in both schemes. Topology consideration, commutation analysis, mathematical descriptions are given along with simulated and experimental confirmation.
