Evaluation of machining conditions by factorial experiment

Abstract The paper describes the main features and the application of the factorial experiment design to the evaluation of the effects of several factors on the surface finish of surface ground steel pieces. An appraisal of the significance and a short analysis of the experimental results is also given.
