Performance of digital communications schemes with multidimensional signals in Gaussian noise

In this paper, we analyze the performance (power and bandwidth efficiency) of a scheme with multidimensional signals, and both optimal detector and nonoptimal but simple detector, and show that they are inferior to known schemes with narrowband Nyquist signals and optimal detectors.
