Multiple-Access Capability Of Frequency-Hopped Spread-Spectrum Cellular Radio Communications

In this paper we apply the new accurate method for the evaluation of the probability of error of uncoded asynchronous frequency-hopped spread-spectrum multiple-access (FI-X/SSMA) communications, described in [ 11, to cellular mobile radio communications. Users are assumed to be Poisson distributed in the plane. Systems with M-ary FSK modulation and noncoherent demodulation are considered. The Gaussian approximation method is also presented. We compare the results based on both methods.
