An analysis of analog to digital conversion and harmonic distortion

The output of practical ADCs contains harmonic distortion due to mismatched circuit components. In this paper, a method is developed which estimates an ADC's output frequency spectrum, SDR, and SNDR from the ADC's transfer function. An example is given which compares the developed method's results with existing methods and simulation.
