Passively mode-locked and cavity-dumped Yb:KY(WO4)2 oscillator with positive dispersion

We demonstrate a passively mode-locked Yb:KYW oscillator operated in the positive dispersion regime generating pulse energies exceeding 2 muJ at 1 MHz repetition rate. The chirped pulses are externally compressed down to 400 fs.
