The Adaptation Theory is a highly adaptable theory, from which the study of translation may draw a lot of insight.According to the Adaptation Theory, adaptability is a basic feature of human language, which involves the four aspects of investigation: contextual correlates of adaptability, structural objects of adaptability, and dynamics of adaptability and salience of the adaptability process.Translation is a continuous, dynamic process of choice in language that adapts to the context. An interpreter should take into consideration the adaptation to context and structural objects of the target language in his choice of words.Translation practice not only is restrained by the linguistic and external environment but also alters the environment of itself, thus making translation an ever-changing and negotiable practice.
