Simulation and Analysis of Multiphase PM Brushless Motor System

The general expressions for electromagnetic torque and back electromagnetic force are derived.The multiphase permanet magnet brushless DC motor(PMBLDCM) mathematical model is established which considers the harmonic components of winding inductances and air gap flux density.The results of simulation and experiment carried out on the six-phase machine system show that the mathematical model can be used to analyze multiphase PMBLDCM and its' system accurately,and multiphase machine can greatly reduce the torque ripples.
