An algorithm for the automatic design and the power optimisation of active-G/sub m/-RC continuous-time biquadratic cells

In this paper an algorithm for the automatic design and the power optimisation of active-G/sub m/-RC continuous-time biquadratic cells is presented. The cell presents a low power consumption because it uses a low /spl omega//sub u/ op-amp. Furthermore the proposed methodology allows to find the best compromise to minimize cell power consumption and, at the same time, to achieve the required performances of the biquadratic filter, in term of desired transfer function, third harmonic distortion and noise behaviour.
