Design and Implementation of an Energy Simulation Platform for Wireless Sensor Networks

Recently, wireless sensor networks (WSN) are studied intensively and applied widely in real applications. Among other related topics, WSN simulation has been attracting special attention. However, simulation software for WSN design, investigation and application is mostly limited to the communication between nodes in the network, while not able to take the energy monitoring and management for sensor nodes as well as for the entire network into account. In this paper, a WSN simulation platform with energy consideration is introduced.
