The framework of convergence distributed content distribution system for network providers

Network has been gradually dominated by content distribution and retrieval due to the popularity of the content-oriented services, such as file sharing, streaming application and file distributor. Some practical challenges thus arise for network providers in the process of content distribution. For one thing it generates great network traffic and creates pressure to the backbone links. For another, existing independent content distribution systems lead to the inefficient network resource usage and the duplicate deployment of content and system facility for network providers. In this paper, we propose a unified framework called convergence distributed content distribution system (CD2S) for network providers to optimize the traffic in the distribution process and integrate the content. This paper also describes the strategies in detail on implementation processes, key issues, architecture advantages and etc.
