Sequence Optimization of Concrete Casting in Steel Tubular Ribs for Long-span CFST Arch Bridge

Concrete casting in steel tubular ribs is the key step during the construction of CFST arch bridge with long-span. In order to ensure construction safety, the difference between the elastic stability analysis and elastoplastic stability analysis methods and their characteristics are discussed separately. Next, the optimization method of the sequence design of concrete casting in steel tubular ribs is provided, which taking the elastic stability factor as the criterion and checking by the elastoplastic stability analysis method. In the example of Qiandaohu Bridge, the process of analysis is explained. The influence of the initial stress caused by rib construction on the optimization result of casting sequence is also discussed. The analytical result shows that the optimization result of casting sequence is closely related to the initial stress, different rib constructions can change the optimization result. So, the initial stress should be calculated according to the actual construction when designing the sequence of concrete casting.
