that part of the guide alone. For example, the chapter on statistical informationmeasuring resource usage is one that may be useful to those with experience in e-resource management, whereas other chapters are designed for those new to the area. However, there are some obvious content limitations in this guide – the copyright and licensing information and advice is US-centric, for example. Other information, such as the list of COUNTER-compliant vendors, is based on March 2011 data, and the list of relevant conference and trade shows are all North American. There are also omissions that limit the usefulness of the guide. Significantly, there is no glossary of terminology to counter the tendency for authors to slip into library jargon throughout the various chapters. A list of resources and tools for following up later would also have proved useful to readers. If you are a working librarian, then you are probably already grappling with the issues presented in this guide as part of your day-to-day work. Nonetheless, this book is a useful guide full of practical advice for managing electronic resources, especially for someone new to the field.
