The first part of the Anitvavarga of the Udanavarga from Suba’i, which should have contained the verse, is lost,* as is the entire Balavarga of the “Gandhari Dharmapada”, which might have contained the verse.’ A perfect equivalent to the Udanavarga verse is cited in the Mahdkarmavibhanga as “a gatha spoken by the Lord”,* and lines c and d are cited in Bhavya’s Tarkajvala, as preserved in Tibetan translation.
