전단건물의 축소 독적해석모델에 관한 연구 ( A Study on the Reduced Order Dynamic Model of the Shear Building )

A difficulty with many design and control methods is that they work best for systems with a small number of degrees of freedom. Unfortunately many interesting structures have a large number of degrees of freedom. One approach to this dilemma is to reduce the size of the original model by essentially removing those parts of the model that affect its dynamic response of interest the least. But there are few data available to choose proper degrees of freedom to be retained with acceptable model error and computational cost. The objective of this study is to examine errors from the model reduction and to propose the method of determining the number and location of primary degree of freedom especially for the shear building.
