Numerical Simulation of Optimization of Nozzle Parameters in ZH1105W

This study was to investigate the spray and combustion process in DI diesel engines ZH1105W using STAR-CD and ES-ICE.The effects of three types of nozzles(4×0.32,5×0.27 and 6×0.22 mm) on combustion process in engine and the emissions of NOx and soot were investigated.The results show the inflammable mixture,NOx and soot three dimensional distribution maps under the different nozzle in cylinder.And the changes of NOx and soot along with the crank angle in the cylinder were also analyzed in this paper.It is concluded that diesel ZH1105W with 5×0.27 mm nozzle plays preferable performance on fuel atomization and mixture formation as well as the combustion and emission performance.
