A k-out-of-n:G redundant vehicle transit system

Abstract This paper presents a Markov model pertaining to reliability analysis of a k-out-of-n:G redundant vehicle transit system. The number of states is [2(n − k + 1) + 1]. The transit system is in a failed state when (n − k + 1) vehicles failed or (n − k + 1) failed vehicles in the workshop. Laplace transforms of state probabilities and reliability of the transit system are derived.
