Abstract The non-linear (nuclear) burn-up wave equation y t −vk sin (y)=0 is completely integrated for y(x,t). The solutions belong to the class of “non-soliton coherent structures” or “solitary waves”. The relationship to solitons is discussed under the aspect of the underlying physical phenomena.
