PID ADAPTIVE CONTROL OF A NON ISOTHERMAL CONTINUOUS STIRRED TANK REACTOR

This paper presents an experimental evaluation of an adaptive PID controller derived within the δ operator formulation. More specifically, the reaction temperature of a non isothermal Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor (CSTR) is adaptively controlled. Experimental results involving a realistic simulator of the CSTR are presented to show the tracking and regulation performances of the proposed adaptive controller.
