Continuous study of closely coupled dipoles with matching networks

Power collection at the receive end in a multi-input multi-output (MIMO) system is critical to information recovery, especially for compact receive arrays. In this work we discuss the correct analytical received power expression with various matching impedances which maximize the received power of compact antenna array. The power differences and power collection ability of the optimum impedance match compared to the self-conjugate match for a two-element dipole array is also studied. (5 pages)
