MixTest: A mixed-signal extension to a digital test system

This paper presents a methodology for extending a digital test system into a mixed signal verification test system. A digital test system (HP82000) is used for the sourcing and sinking of digital data. For the analog data the system uses analog instruments which are based on the Vme eXtension for Instrumentation standard. The system uses concepts of virtual instruments and DSP based testing algorithms for verifying mixed signal ICs. Test programming in the MixTest environment is based on graphical programming methods.<<ETX>>
