Translation Compensation and Micro-Doppler Extraction of Ballistic Target in Midcourse

The high velocity translation of ballistic targets will subject Micro-Doppler to translation,slope and fold.To compensate the translation of ballistic targets,a method based on Doppler extremum is proposed.Mathematics of Doppler extremum is derived on the basis that translation is approximated to a polynomial motion and the micro-motion is equivalent to a coning motion.Translation is compensated and micro-Doppler is extracted according to the parameters estimated by LS parameter identification method.Simulation results indicate that micro-Doppler can be effectively extracted through translation compensation method in the paper.
