A New Method of Motion Compensation for Pulse Stepped-frequency Radars

The effect of target motion on a synthetic range profile generated by a pulse stepped-frequency radar is discussed. A new method based on burst phase difference principle is presented for the estimation of target motion parameter, and then the fast search problem of true radial velocity is resolved. Simulation results indicate that this method is capable of accurate estimation with efficient computation and good anti-noise performance in real-time processing.
