Antenna Design Framework: solving the EDA antinomy

Despite the high level of maturity, the development process of EDA tools for electromagnetic modelling appears to be hindered by a number of contradictions. Three of them have a strong impact on the quality and usability of the products. This paper tries to expound these antinomies and to propose a way out by describing the methodological approaches used in the development of Antenna Design Framework to give a positive solution to the challenges they pose.
