6LoWPAN is one of the important technologies in the field of Internet of Things (IoT), which is able to realize the end-to-end communication using IP. It has attracted a lot of attentions nowadays. Currently two main functions have been defined in IETF drafts, which focus on header compression and neighbor discovery. For IPv6 header compression feature, contexts are designed to compress addresses, however, so far there is no detailed design about how to manage and disseminate the contexts in the draft yet. This paper presents a design of context system to meet the requirements of the draft. And the experimental results show that the design is able to work well.
