Lossless image compression for storage reduction using pollination based optimization

Image compression is part of digital image processing that use different operation for reduction of image size. Image compression is done by using different compressing approaches that are lossless and lossy compression. In this paper lossless compression approach has been used to get higher compression ratio. In this paper a new approach has been purposed that is used for image compression on the basis of fitness value of a single DCT block of the image data. Local best and global best values for different DCT blocks has been measured using pollination based optimization.
