Modeling and Solving for Monthly Security Constrained Unit Commitment Problem

The complexity and solving size of monthly generation plan makes it difficult to optimize monthly unit commitment.Based on the principle of simultaneously considering calculation performance and key demands on the monthly plan,a monthly security constrained unit commitment(SCUC) model with minimum energy deviation as the objective is developed by period simplification and power-energy decoupling.The model proposed is solved with a mixed integer programming optimization algorithm.Test results for an actual provincial system show the validity of the model.
