Sectioning implementation of two-dimensional symmetric half-plane filters

We present sectioning approaches for the implementation of two-dimensional recursive symmetric half-plane fiters. Two sectioning algorithms are described and compared with the direct implementation as regards computational requirements. An example of software implementation on a PRIME 750 is given.
