Current-mode analogue signal processing circuits-a review of recent developments

A review is presented of current-mode analog signal processing circuits, based on the authors' work in the area and its relation to other associated work. The authors concentrate on a more fundamental approach to the realization of current-mode performance through the development of a fully differential current-mode operational amplifier. Consideration is also given to the enhancement of conventional voltage-mode operational amplifiers in achieving current-mode performance, namely, using techniques for sensing the operational-amplifier supply current. Some encouraging new techniques based on the latter approach are described.<<ETX>>
