Analysis and optimization of a high-efficiency residential energy harvesting system with dual half-bridge converter

Parameter optimization for a residential power router with a dual half-bridge (DHB) dc-dc converter is proposed. In order to minimize the power losses of the dual half-bridge dc-dc converter, the relationship between the zero-voltage switching range and transformer inductance parameters of the DHB is described. Based on the capacity of photovoltaic generation and battery storage, the transformer parameters are selected to limit the reactive power transfer. A case study is given to verify the optimization method given in this paper. Experimental results verify the theory and operation of the optimization method proposed in this paper.
