Preliminary Observation of Acupuncture at Qimen and Yanglingquan on Time-Effect Rule of Influence on Low Tension Gallbladder's Movement

Objective: To compare the time-effect rule of chronic cholecystitis patient's low tension gallbladder movement on acupuncture at Qimen and Qimen matching with Yanglingquan. Methods: The patients in two groups were given acupuncture at acupoints( Qimen and Qimen matching with Yanglingquan). The gallbladder volumes at different time points were measured by using B-ultrasonography and then the curves of time-effect rule of gallbladder movement on acupuncture were traced out. Results: The two groups' acupoints on acupuncture both showed that the gallbladder volume was an apparent systolic and diastolic movement after 20 minutes. The time effect and the interaction were of no statistical difference( P 0. 05). Conclusion: For acupuncture treatment of chronic cholecystitis, the best time of retaining needle is 50 minutes, and acupuncture frequency should be twice a day. Qimen and Yanglingquan have synergistic effects in regulating the power of the gallbladder.
