Fractal Estimation of Flank Wear in Turning, Part-2: Implementation Details,

Abstract : Part 1 of this paper describes the theoretical foundations of fractal estimator development. The implementation aspects of the fractal estimator for online tool wear estimation in the turning process is described in this part. The results show that this paradigm can be successfully used for real time quality control in manufacturing.
