Control System of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor and Method to Detect Sensor Fault thereof

PURPOSE: A system for controlling an encased permanent magnet synchronous motor and a sensor malfunction detecting method thereof are provided to accurately detect the malfunction of a position sensor and a current sensor of the encased permanent magnet synchronous motor in real time by using designed algorithm. CONSTITUTION: A nonlinear model of an encased permanent magnet synchronous motor is modeled(S100). The nonlinear model is converted into a linear model through input-output linearization(S200). An error is measured from the linear model by using a parity equation(S300). The usability of malfunction detecting algorithm is proved by a computer simulation(S400).
