Protocol for Improved Network Coding Opportunity Discovery for Inter-connected WBAN Multihop Relay Medical Networks

By modifying existing routing schemes, network coding opportunities using location information for use in interconnected WBAN Multihop Relay Medical Networks is achieved. Current techniques use the time to live parameter. By using routing discovery schemes combined with location information, potential coding nodes are recognized. However the gateway nodes in multihop relay environment experiences high traffic intensity. When Wireless Body area Networks interconnect with the Multihop networks, they can experience a degraded quality of service due to congestion in the multihop relay nodes. To address this problem this paper analyses using network coding techniques and network coding opportunity discovery to find potential coding neighbours as a protocol.
