Regulation of a synchronous motor at low speed: experimental results

A control scheme is experimented with at low reference speed for a synchronous motor. Such a problem remains challenging for horizontal and vertical handling (control of lifts, elevators, conveyer belts). The control scheme is based on feedback linearization, linear predictive control and online Laguerre model identification. It requires a minimum a priori information and reduces requirements on computer systems. A comparison with a standard field oriented control is included.
