Digital Computer Analysis of Distributed-Lumped-Active Networks

An algorithm is presented for the analysis of a network containing distributed elements, lumped elements, and active devices under conditions of sinusoidal steady-state excitation. The algorithm uses a model for the distributed element which is applicable to tapered elements as well as to uniform elements. The results of applying a digital computer program based on the algorithm to a distributed-lumped-active network are compared with the experimental results found by directly measuring the frequency response of the network. Excellent agreement is obtained.
