An electromagnetic and piezoelectric coupled energy harvester using cantilever beam for low frequency vibration

In production and life, low-frequency vibration energy is ubiquitous. Collecting vibration energy can supply power to electronic equipment and reduce operation and maintenance costs. The elastic pendulum based on a metal cantilever beam can convert a small linear motion into a large angle of rotational motion to achieve amplification of the low frequency vibration amplitude. Electromagnetic and piezoelectric hybrid power generation designed can improve energy harvesting efficiency. Under the sinusoidal displacement vibration excitation of 2.3Hz and amplitude 5mm, the open-circuit voltage of the single-phase induction coil of the permanent magnet power generation can reach 5V, the total output power is 320mW. And the open circuit voltage of the two piezoelectric pieces can reach 45V and the power is 10mW that meets the power requirements of electronic devices such as wireless sensor nodes.
