Method and apparatus for creating a microscopic panoramic view

Exemplary embodiments of the present invention relate to a method for producing a microscope representation of a three-dimensional sample with a flat extension in the x and y direction. The method comprises the following steps: a) placing the flat, three-dimensional sample on a positioner; b) picking up the sample by means of an image capture device to obtain a first micrograph of the sample with a first cutout; c) changing (106) the perspective of the two-dimensional sample in the z-direction; d) taking the sample by means of the image capture device to obtain a second microscopic image of the sample with a second cutout; e) determining a change information, which allows a conclusion on the change of the perspective in the z-direction, based on a difference between the first and the second microscope shot; and f) assembling the first and second microscopic images in consideration of the change information to obtain the microscopic panoramic image.
