An efficient channel estimation algorithm for CO-OFDM system

Coherent optical orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (CO-OFDM) system has the dual advantages of coherent detection and orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing technology. It has become a hotspot of current research in the field of optical communication. Channel estimation has a very important impact on the performance of the system as a critical technology in CO-OFDM. In this paper, we present an extra processing added to conventional LS channel estimation to further improve its performance in CO-OFDM system, the simulation results show that the improved algorithm achieves excellent performance with relatively low complexity.
