Dependencia y empleo: un análisis empírico con la encuesta de discapacidades y atención a la dependencia (EDAD) 2008

Este trabajo analiza las caracteristicas del mercado de trabajo para las personas con limitaciones en las actividades de la vida diaria. Se investiga que tipos de empleo son mas habituales entre este grupo y si desarrollan con mayor frecuencia que otras personas el tipo de trabajo �informal� en el cual se incluye el trabajo a tiempo parcial, el temporal y el autoempleo. Los datos provienen de la Encuesta de Discapacidades y Atencion a la Dependencia (2008). Los resultados obtenidos para las personas con limitaciones son consistentes con que el empleo �informal� no es un fenomeno homogeneo sinonimo de precariedad y en el que los trabajadores mas vulnerables se sienten encasillados por sus limitaciones. Nuestros resultados sugieren que una respuesta politica generalista no es adecuada, especialmente si incluye politicas que tratan de combatir el crecimiento del empleo "informal" entre aquellos con limitaciones sin analizar que se plantearia como una buena alternativa.
